Claire's 3!

Claire turns 3 on November 24th, but this year we decided to celebrate in the beginning of November. We had a birthday party at home in Arlington where Claire got to play with some of her cousins and visit with some of her aunts and uncles and grandparents.

 

Happy Halloween

Colin, Claire, and I, excuse me, I mean Buzz, Woody, and I, were in Alabama this Halloween. We had a great time trick-or-treating in my sister in law, Abby's, parent's neighborhood! Everyone really gets into Halloween in that neighborhood. ALL the houses were decorated (think along the lines of what most houses look like at Christmas, except with gravestones and skeletons hanging around) and they even give out prizes for most spookily decorated! Well, the scary decorations did not deter Colin from practically running from house to house to gather his booty. Claire, on the other hand, was almost stopped dead (haha) in her tracks when she spotted the Grim Reaper behind us. It all ended well with LOTS of candy and a great dinner provided by Aunt Abby's parents. Thanks for a great night!

The Wedding

As you have discovered over the years, this is a blog mostly dedicated to posting as many pictures and cute stories about my children as possible, but I thought I'd give everyone a break for this one post. My brother got married at the end of October. It was a beautiful wedding deserving of being included here. We welcome Kathy and Emelia into our family and I'm so happy I could be there on that special day.

July 4th

We spent July 4th at the lake with the McBride cousins. It was lots of fun and the night ended with fireworks! Here are the pictures.

Easter 2012

Patriots Day

Patriots Day is a big deal in New England. Everyone has the day off and there are lots of battle re-enactments around where we live. We packed a picnic lunch and went out to watch one this year. Fun! Here's the link for anybody who wants to know what the heck Patriots Day is:

Colin's Birthday

Snow Fun!

We didn't have much snow this winter, but there were a couple of days that were perfect to get out and play a little....at least for me and Colin...Claire didn't like it so much.

Watch Out...Colin's Ice Skating!!

Colin had his first ice skating lesson this past Friday. As soon as we had his skates on he asked, "Mama, where's my hockey stick?" We just might have the next star hockey player on our hands!! The video is a little shaky because Claire was trying to hang on my arm. It's still enough to see the important part though!

Kendall McBride's Birthday

We had a fun time last weekend celebrating Colin and Claire's cousin, Kendall's, 2nd birthday in New Hampshire. It's always fun to hang out with cousins!
