This was our first Christmas as a family of four and the first one we spent at our Hoboken home. Colin had a great time opening his (and Claire's) presents and playing with all the toys. Claire chose to sleep in and joined us to celebrate a little later in the afternoon. We ate Christmas dinner with our neighbors, but unfortunatley didn't get any pictures of that.

Claire is here!
Our baby girl was born on November 24 at 10:06am. She weighed 7 pounds 6 ounces and was 19 inches long. She's a wonderful baby and Colin is adjusting to her arrival very well. Here are just a few of the dozens of pictures we've taken in the last week.

Some last pictures of Colin as an only child
Halloween
This was the first year we dressed Colin up for Halloween. Since he's my baby and I still get to choose what he gets dressed up as, I wanted to do something sweet and babyish like, oh, I don't know, a puppy or big puffy pumpkin. As you can see, I did not win. According to Matt, Halloween is a holiday meant to be scary. So, say hello to Charles Lee Ray (also known as Chucky, the death row murderer inmate reincarnated to a doll from the movie Child's Play)...

These are the pumpkins we (Matt) carved from our trip to the pumpkin patch.

Pumpkin Patch
Matt, Colin, and I went to a pumpkin patch this past Sunday with our friends, Scott and Kathryn, Luis, Kelly, and Hudson. The weather was beautiful. We enjoyed a hayride, picking out pumpkins, and free donuts and cider at the end!

Little Bit of Dancing
Colin started really dancing to music a few weeks ago. On this particular day, he had this stomping, flaminco-style thing going on where he was holding his arms straight up, stomping his feet, and turning around in circles. I wasn't quick enough to get the good part on film, but he kind of does it on this little video as he's walking away from the table toward the toy pile.
Colin can dunk...and not just doughnuts!
So, this happened a few weeks ago. I actually did not witness the first dunk, but thankfully Matt had the camera handy and was able to catch it on film. The story goes that Matt threw the ball from across the room, Colin ran and picked it up, walked over to the hoop, and dunked like he'd been doing it his whole life. Just to make sure it was not a one time thing, Matt had him do it the next weekend too. And again, had the camera handy.

Labor Day 2009
We spent our Labor Day in Hoboken. The highlight for me (besides getting to spend it with Matt and Colin, of course) was getting to Carlos Bakery early enough to get my favorite doughnut before they sold out and the line extended down the entire block. Then we just hung out at the park and let Colin run around.
